Listing of Monthly important dates, Mightyjo help!

2children,

Sorry for the delay. But thanks so much for the compliment! I was out of town recently for a family illness & feel so overwhelmed after returning.

Unfortunately I'm not a great resource for dates. I know October is Fire Prevention month & I think Teacher Apprec. week is the second week in May. National Education Week is in November sometime.

I have encountered various dates in this forum however. (Or at least links to sites with dates.) Try searching, but be sure to change the time frame to at least 100 days (top right corner) or "all".

It sounds like you've got things going in the right direction. The Planning Committee sounds great. You can find ideas for different events through this forum too. I also use the PTA website as a resource. (Try this link www.pta.org/ptacommunity/bboards/index.asp We're trying our first Family Game Night this Saturday. I'll let you know how it goes.

Keep pluggin' away!

Jo

Mightyjo,

You have been such a big help to me. Thank you!!!! I'm going to bother you for more help now. Is there a list some where that has all the dates for things like when Red Ribbon Week is, Fire prevention month, teacher appreciation etc.?

I hung in there like you said to do and I got the PTO to establish a Planning Committee, and keep it as a Standing Committee from now on. We are going to nominate people for this committee at the next meeting. As president I will automaticaly be a member of this committee (adhoc) and I would like to present them with some dates and functions that would help get them going!

Again thank everyone for their comments and Ideas.
