Oh Maggie!! The reminders from my husband of "my volunteer only" status with the school and can't beleive how any hours I'm spending already! The laundry is done, beds made, kids fed, baby is happy,---He works retail and this is (as we has notice) just as busy as Christmas for many of the stores so I can see how he is stressed!!

I'm anticipating my "fun" to begin at the first meeting because I learned the last election we had was not complete. The former President closed the election too early. We had a tie and she did not resolve the tie so I get to hold another election at our first meeting of the year. FUN

I told my husband even if I wanted to quit, noone would let me!
Why couldn't I have been this popular in high school?? HAHAHAHAH
Hang in there Maggie, We're here for ya!

HANG IN THERE! It amazes me how people aren't quick to help, but are quick to tell you how to run things. Tell them that they can be president next year. Tell them that you would love them to be the chairperson for donations. That should quiet them down. I know how it is getting those donations. It is alot of hard work and foot work. GOOD LUCK! I agree keep that smile on your face. Don't let them ever think they have gotten to you. Take Care

Keep a smile on that face as you walk down the hall. If you do, you will realize, the one's doing all the complaining are the ones who never do much anyway. Don't let them get you down. The hard work pays off in the end. Your doing this for all the kids, not the parents gratitude. (Remember) When your done working they will find out how much you really did. Actions speak louder than words.

Best Wishes

hey guys, to make a long story short, I couldn't resign, so I've decided to try and make it as easy as possible for the next president by making a binder with all the events (outlines, suggestions, etc). This isn't going over well with the "old guard". they like to keep event planning to themselves. (you'd think that they'd realise that eventually they are going to have to move to middle school). Anyhow, they are also complaining that I haven't done anything at all to prepare for school and the pta is going to be horrible, etc. Last time I checked, I was the only one insane enough to do this job! (I'm also the only one trying to get donations because "you won't get anything, don't ask them, etc" I've not done so badly for the 2 weeks I've been calling/talking/sending letters.) What irritates me the most is the childish behaviour of talking about me behind my back, but not willing to do anything new or different. I can't wait until the end of the year when I can just say, "HA!" :> ) thanks for listening, maggie
