We recently has an open house for our new superintendent. We had a pot luck dinner and just in case any parent was hesitant to come beacause they thought their children would be bored we had a storyteller come to entertain them. It worked out pretty well, parents had a better chance to talk to the new super without their children bothering them. I hope this helps!
We served coffee, punch and cookies. Had drawings for prizes that were donated by local business or you could do a raffle (check on state laws regarding that). Someone gives a welcome speach and dedication of the new space. As a parent volunteer I'm helping with our first graduation----I'll trade ya! Congratulations and have fun with it!
I need more information about your addition. You could do an unvailing???? For our Open House night we do a PTC Dinner (Tacos/Burritos, rice, beans, chips, salsa and a drink) Adults $4 Children $3. and a book fair. With teacher wish lists. Hope this helps..

Our school needs ideas for an upcoming
open house/dedication ceremony for a new
addition that was recently added. Does anyone have ideas? If your school has an
open house, please share with us some of your ideas.
