Renting is the only way to go..we have a popcorn machine, sno-cone machine, and many winter carnival games. We have even thought about renting them to members of our PTO. If your not using these items why not make money on them???
I HAVE ONE WORD FOR YOU ~~RENT~~
THESE ITEMS RENTED FROM A COMPANY WOULD COST AT LEAST 50.00. WE TRIED TO RENT A COTTON CANDY MACHINE AND WITH THE SUPPLIES IT WAS GOING TO BE CLOSE TO 120.00 WE HAVE BINGO CARDS AND A POP CORN MACHINE. WE HAVE LET BOTH OUT AND WE HAVE COME TO THE DECISION A NICE DONATION TO OUR PTO IS THE WAY TO GO. UNLESS THESE GROUPS HAVE THINGS THEY ARE LENDING TO YOU IT IS GOOD FOR THEM-GOOD FOR THEM,~~ A LITTLE ONE SIDED? THE THING THAT REALLY MADE US COME TO THIS CONCLUSION WAS WHEN A GROUP WE WOULD NOT HAVE LENT ANYTHING TO ASKED THE OFFICE PERSONEL TO GET IT FOR THEM. THEY SAID THE PRINCIPAL TOLD THEM THE PTO BOUGHT IT FOR THE SCHOOL A FEW YEARS AGO AND IT WAS UP TO THE SCHOOL WHO IT IS LENT TO. Ü NEEDLESS TO SAY WE ALL HAVE OUR LITTLE GRAINS OF SAND TO DEAL WITH, BUT HANDLED RIGHT THOSE GRAINS CAN BECOME PEARLS!!
In the past 6-7 months our PTA has been asked to lend other schools and organizations various items. These items would be: carnival items(they came back damaged), literacy items, bingo items, and the popcorn machine. We have no policy on lending out items at this time. My question is does your PTA-PTO lend out items and if so are you selective? Also do you have a policy? If so could you share what it consists of. Thanks
