Thank you! We considered staff appreciation but our is in May and the cold weather will be gone by then. Our Principal signs off on all of the requests and she didn't mention a budget but i was thinking the same thing, all the ofher coffee pots have to have come from some kind of budget, somewhere Maybe i will ask the principal where the others have come from, maybe she thinks if we don't push, it's money she doesn't have to spend.
We bought a Keurig for our teachers last year, our principal likes to field all requests because often we are asked for things that she already has a budget for. We have 'staff appreciation' in our budget, maybe you could find a way to add that in there if you have the income to cover it.
Our board recently received a "grant" request from the bulding aides at our elementary school They have requested that we purchase a keurig coffee machine. Now, this sounds absolutely ridiculous to me. They are stating that it's exremely cold outside and they would like to have the ability to make hot choc/tea/or coffee to warm up. Building aides do work hard and get little appreciation. I cannot find in any by laws that actually would support or rule out this grant request. Unless i am not seeing something. I am inclined to say no but i would like a definitive reason instead of me just being regarded as insensitive. Additionally, i am very concerned with what other requests may result if we grant it. Anyone get these types of requests or have any experience or advice?
