A bunch of schools in my area have apps. It's pretty cool. We get push notifications about fundraisers, minimum days, even lock downs. Calendars, newsletters, social media, and a lot more. The schools all raise a ton of money from them too....

I found an app on my iPhone that gives families instant access to all current information about their schools. Key features: Event Calendar, Important links for each school, school flyers at the touch of your hands, raise money from local sponsors and push notifications.

There is another one called Indian Trail PTO.

You might look at PTO Connect. Email newsletter, volunteer management, web site, directory, calendar, file management, images, etc.

I've been looking into this also and haven't found a already created app. However, there are a few user friendly app makers that I am weeding through. I've never created a web page or app but we are need to come into the tech age or I'm afraid we'll fizzle away.

What do you want the app to do? I know there is a company out there that has an app for school directories, but I'm not sure about other ones.

Hi - Just wondering if anyone has used or can recommend a PTO app that our parents can download for their smartphones? This seems like a great idea, but I'm just starting to gather info so we can get something in place soon!
