President Lee-
So sorry to hear about your situation. Hopefully, given your circumstances, some parents will come forward and address filling your slot so you don't have to worry about it. The ideal situation would be that the volunteers will ask around to see if one or two people are interested in taking over (co- presidents could work out well) and then hold a special election.
I have been the PTO President for 2 years but must step down right now. I cannot wait until the end of my term due to the fact my husband is terminally ill. I must stay home with him and care for him.
The problem is my VP has 2 jobs and barely has time for the PTO now. She cannot possibly take over the duties of President.
Can a member of the PTO take over? No one seems to want to be the "go to" person. We have great volunteer parents but someone really needs to be there to do what I have doing
