Items needing quick responses/immediate decisions would be executive issues (if the by laws allow) and personnel issues are the first ones that come to mind.

Please help me describe the difference between an Executive Meeting and a General Meeting.
We are setting up our schools bylaws and I had a question raised on why the board would have executive meetings.
I know there are specific things that cannot be discussed in a general meeting like lawsuits but what other reasons can I list.
