I did not know this...can you tell me more about these type ins. and do schools really have this?

Per our PTO president - There is a specific exclusion in our policy for Electronic Chatrooms or Bulletin Boards which “the insured hosts, owns, or over which the insured exercises control.”

Any ideas? we have a really small town and need to improve our communication with parents.

Your insurance specifically excludes anything to do with postings on the Internet? That seems like an odd exclusion to me.

In general it shouldn't be a problem but in todays world you never know. For example - if a mom posts about meeting at the park after school and then someone hurts them at the park it would be a long shot but maybe they could sue us. Or maybe a parent gives their log on to someone and that person is bad and pretends to be that person and lures someone someplace. (do you know what i mean?) What if a parent posts a wrong address for an event that is going to happen and a parent gets hurt on the way to the wrong address - maybe they could sue?? I would like to think none of these things would happen but you never know, right?

I don't see how usage of bigtent.com would pose a risk worth insuring against. Am I being naive? What specific risk or risks are you worried about?
