No it is done more discretly-- first off- a parent would have to have chaired an event- and come to at least 3 PTO meetings to even run for a position.
And then you have to have a letter of intent to run by a certain date--- we mention the upcoming elections for 2 months and however wants to run, gives the president a letter- we do not tell anyone who has put a letter in or what positions are open-- if a parent wants to tell someone that ok.
Our PTO sends out a are you interested letter with the nominations form in March our elections are at our May meeting.
Do you send out a letter to parents stating who is running and for what positions before the election so they know who is running and what positions are still open?
