We have a summer music/theater program that is run by two of our school's teachers for students in our 4th-8th grades. The program employs instructors and is held on our high school grounds. We are currently covered under our school district's insurance policy but thus need to follow the restrictions of what the Board of Ed sees fit. If the teachers wanted to break the insurance tie with the BOE, so as to be able to be a bit freer in the administration of the program, would this group qualify for the PTO insurance? Parents are very much involved in helping with the program, but there are paid instructors and teachers involved. Thanks for any possible thoughts.
I wanted to know if there is a way to get insurance for PTO? This past year we found out that our PTO President took a big amount of our profit and spent it on god knows what. When talking to one of our debtors one of them mention putting insurance just in case something like this should happen again. Does anyone know of such a thing that way when a new president comes to step up we have that cushion?
