We are trying to do what is right. I have posted a question about the treasure not wanting to give us financial information that we as the new board have asked for. (on another post) We have gone to the bank and they have given us some statements and have put a freeze on the account we are trying to do an audit but the treasure is not giving us the books and stated that she will shred any information that is out her house. We are new at this (a couple of us board members) and are needing help. Our question is - Is it ok for us to close that bank account and reopen another one and leave that at that? Does opening another account free us (new board members) from any wrong doing if any on that other account. And do we just say that what is deposited into our new account is the balance was remainder from the previous year. Any help will be much appreciated and if there is anything else that I need to do PLEASE HELP! :confused:
