This has worked well for us in the past. Now our school board works with a company that will handle returned checks for the school and the PTO. You can check with your school to see if they can help you with it.
It's not a Plus Membership item but it is a .doc document so maybe you have to have compatible software on your computer. Anyway, I've cut and pasted it below.

I need a sample of a insufficient funds letter to be sent to a parent. I tried to open the one on bonus tools but I can't get it to open--says something about my computer has no association in the folders panel to open this. HELP!!! Thanks all
