Some questions:
1. How are officers elected? Term limits?
2. Do you have a copy of the current bylaws?
3. What do the bylaws say about voting?
4. What relationship does the Executive Board have with the general members? Are there regular meetings where members welcome and encouraged to participate, questions are answered, all business is conducted out in the open? And are meeting minutes published?
4. Is there a group of like-minded members who will attend the next meeting with you and demand the answers to your questions?
Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same."

Our PTO has been exsistent for a long time but the current officers have been in office for almost 5 years. The rules seem to change by what suits them. They spend money and it isn't voted on. I am wondering if an audit would help expose this and them make them play above board and not waste the money designed to go to the kids. Our budget ended in June with over $15,000.00 and we're pushing for so many fundraisers again. No justification for a trip to the Christmas Tree Shop or Wal Mart. Missing (at the co-president's house) left over prizes from last year, instead of searching they decide to just go by more.
