I'd say no.. mainly because of the alcohol implications/ ramifications and what about the nondrinkers?... A bar doesnt seem like much of a meeting place to actually get any business done.

Heres a question for you. We are a pretty established group who suddenly has a new question. It appears that suddenly there are a few parents who think we shoudl hold our meetings at local establishments like bars, that we should make our meetings more of a social event.
I am having a hard time with this suggestion because I find it hard to believe that you could hold a effective monthly meeting in a bar. I also question what kind of reputation this would give our group, worry that it would seem cliche and that some people may be uncomfortable and not be able to afford to do this. We also would not have our child care. I know that groups do go out at the end of the year or something special but what do you feel about doing this all the time???I am against it and my principal is as well but we were just wondering what other groups would feel?
