Okay...I am sure you Prez really is a pain in the butt. Most of us at some point or another has dealt with a lame prez and/or a prez with a bad attitude. I know first hand how awful, annoying, and tiresome it can be.
That being said and please do not take this the wrong way. She is the prez and as such you need to take a back seat to her and not overstep your bounds as the VP into things that are not your job. It is her job to inform you of whether or not you will be presiding at a meeting and it is her job to initiate the use of any forms to be used, unless you have permission from her first.
Your job as VP is to assist her with anything that she needs. You need to take your cue from her not make it up your own.
My advice to you would be do not resign. Hang in there & stay out of her way. Then when the next election comes you run for Prez and then you can take control. Good Luck!
I am very upset right now and I need some objective opinions. I am VP and the pres and I have butted heads time and time again. I think she is a very poor leader and a poor comunicator. Many parents have told me they don't participate in PTO because she is so difficult, talks about people behind their backs, etc. So I know I am not alone in my assessment. Having said that, I know I am no picnic either. I am new, very enthusiastic, want to try new things, etc. I think she perceives me as annoying and threatening.
I emailed the pres yesterday to ask if she was coming to the next meeting, I need to know if I am going to preside. I also need her agenda so we can follow it. I mention I have some things I would like to talk about too. I also email the board with copies of the forms I would like us to start using and my reason behind it. In return I get two snippy emails directed at me, in which she cc's the principal, and sends me a copy of her agenda as she will be late to the meeting. My time to speak is listed last: VP report/ New business. Nice. We rarely get to new business, or breeze through it because we run out of time, which I am sure she is hoping will happen at the next meeting. I was so furious that I typed up my resignation letter. I really don't know what to do at this point.
