Check your by-laws. They should tell you the procedure to follow for removing an officer from position. Actually, it sounds as if they weren't followed in the first place, so you have a legitimate reason for removal. I would strongly suggest that you have someone ready to step in before you confront her, because if she leaves, you are going to be without a leader.
If she is that controlling and bossy, I'm guessing she won't like being told that she is, especially by the group.
Get your ducks in a row (and your group) and talk to her about it as a group. My guess is she'll either explode and leave, or take a step back and want to change.
Please I am looking for input. I am new to this forum. We have a PTO president that was here last year due to lack of interest from other parents.
She is very bossy and controling and none of the parents like her. We are lucky to have any participation at all. She scares them away.
She was never voted in this year she just assumed position.
