Our principal typically polls the teachers and determines the school's needs. Then, he brings them to us. If it is major, we bring it up for a vote and approval. If it is something that can hold of for next year, we add it to the budget and approve it in August.
Granted, we have a very good principal that works with us as opposed to some of the principal's that I have read about in the forums.
How does your PTO collect the school's "wish list" of funding needs? What is your process and/or forms for teachers to submit to the PTO for a specific grant? Timeline? Thanks!
