Thanks for the verbage, I'm using it! I also did a detail of the positions as follows-
One nominee will be chosen for the following positions and anyone not chosen by the committee may announce an intention to oppose 30 days prior to the elections in May. Those who are nominated will be announced in April.

All board members should be prepared to take office following the elections in May.
I would LOVE to approach this with the statement "Always thinking you know how to do this better? Well HERE'S you're chance!" I know I know not very PC....honest....I know.
Ask the question "Love helping in the classroom and ready for more? For a few more hours a month be on the PTO Board and make your school as great as or greater than it can be! It's also a great way to meet the other parents and our wonderful staff that love and care about our students! This is the one volunteer job YOU set the hours and YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!"
Has anyone written anything to make people more interested in PTO nominations than just the standard "accepting nominations - due March 31st" type of thing.
I am hoping to fill the officers with new people (at least some of the officers spots including mine), and need to motivate some others to step up.
