Our secretary just resigned because her daughter is changing schools. She sent our board an email to let us know. She also made sure that the minutes from the last meeting were ready for our meeting this week.
I would just make sure that you don't burn any bridges when you leave. Write a letter of resignation. Make sure that you leave them all of the information that you have.
Good luck to you.
This is my first year as the secretary and I cannot take it anymore. The by-laws are not followed by the president, the first vice-president has been known to "take" what is not hers, the treasurer does not even have her kids at the school (that explains why she is never present at any of our meetings/events and it is clearly stated on the by-laws that one has to be a parent/legal guardian of a student enrolled in the school to be part of the HSA) The school principal will not let any changes be made and the Pastor of the Church does not want to be involved with the "parent -group" problem. What do I do? I was planning on leaving the group after the Christmas holiday. I don't know what to do, I am very confused. I need all the advice I can get. Help!!!
