charging dues -- who comes to meetings

20 years 1 month ago #100203 by JHB
We hold only two general meetings a year and the voting is only a formality. Approving the budget in the August meeting is a formality and elections are a single slate of officers in May. So "voting" doesn't need to be closely monitored. (If we had a serious issue, then we would treat it accordingly.) Only voting members of the Executive Board vote.

Anyone can attend our meetings (Exec or General). However, they need to be on the agenda to speak and a member to vote.

Ours works the same as Mom24kids posted. I must tell you though...in our school so many people pay the dues, but never attend a single meeting.

They can come, but they can't vote.

If your PTO charges dues, are other non paying parents/ teachers able to attend the general meetings?
