Toys r us emailed me back and told me to send the request to the "local" store and if they had stuff like that in their budget, they might consider it. Worth a try anyhow eh? maggie
In St. Louis Missouri: Borders does a thing where they set up a check out lane announcing it benefits a certain school, a percentage of the money brought in through that check out lane goes to the school. Barnes and Noble have donated a 10.00 gift card one time and a book another time. Red Lobster has donated 10.00 gift cards, pasta house donates 40 5.00 off a 20.00 purchase coupons to schools. Our outback told us they weren't interested in helping. Our biggest donations from restaurants come from our local ones rather than the bigger chains. (we usually get 25.00 or 50.00 gift certificates from these local ones) Hope this helps! Debbie
I know that Borders does donations. We just contacted our local store. It was awhile ago, but I don't think we needed to deal with corporate headquarters. After we gave them a request letter, we heard back from them pretty quickly.
Hi, look gap up on the internet and then go under their community page, I think you just send them a request on school letterhead
for disney: send request to the following address (according to the email I got today):
The Walt Disney Company
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank, Ca 91521
Does anyone know if the bookstores like barnes and nobles and borders do donations?
How about restaurants? I know that outback steakhouse will come put on a dinner as part of your fundraiser, not quite sure how that works, will let y'all know monday after I call them. :> )
I am also looking for donations right now and I don't know any (Gap, Old Navy, Disney, American Girl, etc.) Could someone tell me where I could find these? Thanks!!
