Box Tops for Education contests

7 years 9 months ago - 7 years 9 months ago #171746 by daglozano1974
Hello Fellow Box Top Participants!!

Our school participated for the first time and we were able collect $600 worth of clippings. We didn't meet the goal that we set but we're going to really encourage our kids and parents to participate for the next round!

We divided our winners into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Our First Place Winners are going to have a pizza party and each child is going to be rewarded with a tee shirt - including the Box Top logo, their classroom information and each students' name. We have a local tee shirt company that's going to donate the shirts as they (the owners of the tee shirt company) ave children at our school.

Second and Third place winners will receive a cupcake and goodies party with medals (where we can find in places like orientaltrading.com, beau-coup.com, etc.

We are so excited!!! Winners will be announced on Monday.

I have been the coordinator for our school of approximately 425 elementary students for the past few years. We average around $2,000/year from boxtops for education, labels for education, and Tyson labels altogether.

Our school rewards the homeroom that collects the most box tops with a pizza party (Papa Murphy's Donation) and the second place homeroom with a TCBY party, also donated.
I need help, this is my first year as the coordinator and have the box tops in my possession. How and who do I submit these box tops to? What a great opportunity for us; I do not want to miss out. Peg

I made a prize spinning wheel, let me tell you it's been a success! I started late this year as a coordinator
and let me say that the earnings that they made last year, I accomplished it in only one month with the prize wheel.

We are a private school with approximately 400 students in K3 - 12th grade. In the elementary building we give a prize to the class who collects the most Box Tops each month. Due to holidays and or teacher work days we combine August/September, November/December and January/February. For prizes we award grades 1 - 6 a $1.00 canteen coupon so they can choose a special snack or drink during lunch. The students love it and it keeps the money we spend on prizes in the school. For our younger classes K3 - K5 we coordinate with the teacher to purchase a special snack for the class and or a $15 item for the classroom for the children to enjoy such as washable markers, outdoor chalk, puzzles etc. Each class also receives a certificate of appreciation to hang proudly outside their door. At the end of the year, the class who has collected the most box tops for the year receives a pizza party during lunch.

We are hoping to implement a Box Tops program for our Middle and High School classes that would award 1 spirit point for each Box Top collected in Home Room. Our student council awards spirit points for participation in different events they sponsor through out the year and the homerooms with the most spirit points when different prizes throughout the year.
