I saw this detail when looking over auction notes on file and I thought it was odd myself but that was how previous chairs did it. Probably one started it and the others followed. I didn't feel comfortable with that VERY PERSONAL information being handed over so that is why I sent out the question. Thanks Critter, you are always so helpful! You rock!

Why would you need driver's license number for a PTO auction? Name, address, and phone should be adequate. If someone skips out without paying for their bid, could you envision enforcing some form of implied contract law?
When your bidders sign up for a bid number, do you request their driver's license to log that info? I see in the past a name, address, phone number, and driver's license were required to register. Please give me your thoughts.
