Do any of your schoools have websites? This year I'm consideration on fundraisers that are webbased. Why? 1. need less volunteers and 2. families and friends near and far can participate. Some of the fundraisers I have suggested are entertainment books, party express, sally foster are a few. Both of these will provide you links to put on your website. Tyson food labels pay $0.24/per label. Recycle ink cartridges, cell phones, regrister target credit cards, campbells soup labels
Just read the first post but we've done these in the past:
change drives
Spirit Sales (forms sent home with kids they are not required to be sells people)
Box Tops (awesmome collection)
ink cartridges
Royalty contest that can be held with a festival
You could do a read a thon where the students who want to participate find 4 people to sponser them $1.00 per hour. Run the read a thon about 2 weeks (the equivilent of 6 hours). At the end each sponser is only paying out $6.00. Each child is bringing about $24.00. Multiply that by the amount of students participating and it's a pretty good deal! It is like the 2-4-6 read a thon as close as I could figure out!
our school is also rural, 127 in 1-6 grade. this my first year as president and trying to clean up some things. we are going to try a jump-a-thon, donation drive, and an evening out for the adults (band, chinese raffles, 50/50, no alcohol though). hopefully it's going to work. good luck!
