There is a book called The Perfect Basket by Diane Phillips I saw at Barnes & Noble for about $15 and it is nothing but ideas-like 100-for gift baskets and most of them seem inexpensive.
The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris
Wow thank you for your help. We always do basket raffle but sometimes it seems that noone brings items in for basket then we have to go and make up the difference. We have a total of 16 baskets. Thank you very much for your help.
We gave each classroom a theme and collected items from them- we easily made 2 or 3 baskets per classroom (We have 35 classrooms). We asked families to send in baskets and also appealed to any families that may own a business. We sent out letters to our local community and nationally. We got a great response from everyone.
We sold tickets at the auction- 25 for $5.00 and people put in as many tickets as they wanted in numbered bags under the basket. Each basket was numbered to go along with the number on the bag.
We had 5 colored sections- marked by colored tableclothes. We would close and begin calling certain color tables at certain times.
