Try local sporting stores. We got a Nike basketball from one and a Nike football from another.
We find we have MUCH better luck with local businesses than going after national corporations. We do get donations from national corporations but only because they have local plants or stores.
For example, we got a lot of $10 gift certificates. We packaged them into a "six-pack" for the silent auction. We put local oil changes, car washes, and alignments into several car care packages.
We get LOTS of beauty care products from local salons.
Our local fire department donates rides on the fire truck during the Christmas parade. Always a big seller, as well as pizza lunch with the principal.
I have received donations from scunci hair products. I also received from our local Holiday Inn. Only problem I have is getting boy things. Plenty of girl stuff no boys. Any ideas would be helpful.
We got a 2 $25 gift cards from Circuit City. Dunkin Donuts gave us 2 lbs of coffee and a $10Gift card, we got a poundo f Starbucks beans...we got a lot of local hairdressers that donated hirwash, hirblow & reg.cut...Try the local places. We got a pizza shop that donated 4 lg cheese pizzas for a gitf card...we had a pancake breakfast and these were our raffles....I will post more as they come in this is a great place to sswap ideas and get morivated :)thanks all!!
What a great website - I just found it today! Here is some stuff I have from a youth hockey fundraiser I run every year.
Loews Cineplex 711 Fifth Ave New York, Ny 10022
National Amusements Inc. 200 Elm St. Dedham, Ma 02026
AMC Entertainment Inc. PO Box 219430 Kansas City, Mo 64121 Attn: Donations
Each of these movie companies sends me free passes.
All our local museums and local aquarium send passes when I sent a letter as well as the local supermarkets.
Thanks for all the great information!!
