Our PTO hopes to have Bingo at our May family night, and I'm in the process of completing the State (Texas) application right now. It is an incredible amount of work to complete, and this is the "easy" version (i.e., temporary, charitable Bingo). By the time I get the application and all the attachments collated, it will probably be 40-50 pages. Plus, they will be doing background checks on our entire Executive Board (20+ people)so we had to have complete info including ss#, DL#, DOB on all those folks. I really encourage you to check with your state officials to find out what's involved and give yourself plenty of time to complete the process, if necessary.
We had Bingo last year and it was a huge success (fun-wise). However, we didn't really understand that we should have had a state license. Now that we do know that, we feel we have the responsibility as role models to follow the proper steps. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

We try to hold a pizza bingo night once a month. It's for the kids! $10.00 gets you 1 xlg pizza 4 sodas 2 packs of 5 bingo boards & tickets for intermission prizes. Xtra boards are also available to play. We also have a concession stand of assorted treats. Every child wins! Whether it's a bingo prize or a small prize at the end of the night. Every child goes home with something. The convenience of our cafeteria was a plus and a great time was had by all. Our profit was $500+. Knowing we made a child laugh, smile, and feel like a million bucks was truly worth it. Good luck!
We have bingo at our annual school carnival. For prizes we get donations from local businesses. We usually give away over 150 prizes ranging from a case of pop to a jacket from a car dealer. Requires a lot of soliciting. We play for .50 for each card, play on same money for 7 bingos. Then everyone pays again. Also, advertisement is a key to success.
Bingo is a great idea .We have just had one we raised £600.you need lots of prizes. I went around local shops and hair salons asking for donations . If you say you will mention their company on the night most will be happy to help. I also wrote to zoos, Cinenas ect . GOOD LUCK. S WHELAN .
I'm going to guess it is gambling if you're asking people to pay to play (which I'm assuming you will because it's a fundraiser) I know things like that are regulated in CT (for example, selling raffle tickets is gambling and we need to file paperwork with the state and kids can't play.)
