I have another question about ticket sales for the baskets. How do you increase the sales? Last year we sold the tickets only at the pancake breakfast. Do you do any presale? If so, how do you manage the sale? Who does the selling? How far in advance do you do the presale?
We're also trying to increase the publicity and thought the businesses that donate a basket might like to keep their basket in display at their business. We would attach a flyer to the basket so their customers would know the details of the raffle and also provide THEM a way to donate a basket as well. We thought this would accomplish a couple of things. It would allow the business to show off their "community good will" to their own customers, provide a secure storage place for the basket until the day of actual raffle and allow us to advertise to another group of customers that we would not ordinarily have access to. I already have a 4 person committee that would collect these baskets the last week before the pancake breakfast / raffle so basket collection would not be an issue.

Ckuderka- I too live in Pa and have not had luck with our local amusmt. parks and such. Would you mind giving me a copy of you letter and also some of the places you had a positive response from.
