Check with local and professional sports team. They need to give certain amount away each year for tax purposes

Museums will donate if you send a request on school letter head. Also, big box stores like Meijer will donate once per month.

I didn't get an opportunity to read this entire thread but the most successful items for us which might help you narrow down are the ones who want to get their name out there OR on the parents side, R&R items.

* Vacations (ie. hotels/getaway packages)
* Massages/spa places
* Places that can put together a complete baskets
* We got AMAZING items from other parents! (sports memorabilia or tickets)
* Family related places such at restaurants

Ok I know this bad but sharing anyway - try some of these places on Groupon!!!! They are already giving away a hug discount on there so why not see if they will do a give a way to hit the school audience.

HI Jeannine,

I can pass along this information to you:

If you check out our File Exchange on this site, you will find many templates/documents that you can download for free and tailor to your school/organization for an auction.

File Exchange/Auctions: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/category/10-auctions

Here are just a few examples:

Cover letter for soliciting donations: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/document/10...ion-request-letter-1

Cover letter for soliciting advertisements: www.ptotoday.com/filesharing/document/454-ad-order-form-letter

Also, there are many documents for general silent auction management.

Good luck with the work you are doing!
