I am co-chairing Market Day this year with a friend. We made over $4,000. last year in profit. The food is delicious and it's a low effort fund-raiser. If you get about 6 volunteers to help unload the truck it should only take you about 30 minutes. This year we are assigning grade levels to Market Day sales to help with the truck. So Kindergarten parents have been asked to come in and help with it in Sept. This way it isn't always the same people and parents can meet other parents that they may not have had a chance to meet. The one thing you really need is a good relationship with your rep. If you have a bad rep. your sale and profits will suffer. Good luck!
Our school has been doing Market Day for a couple of years. It nets us about $2500 a year. We are going to try to ramp up the marketing strategy this year. I am new to this so I'll let you know how it goes after my first Market Day "pick up". Although, I have a really great volunteer who has stepped up to the plate and has taken the bull by the horns as it were. She is really running the show!!

Please give me any info you can on this. We have members wanting to get involved in this- however the profit margin (10%) seems low and the prices seem high. Plus the added fuss of having to unload the trucks and all.
Do you have expirence with this? Please let me know
