I noticed that you estimated each child selling 1 of these items...I guess it would depend on your community. Do you have a high poverty or are your students families more on the higher end of income? That would be my first area to take into consideration when setting an approx "goal" per say. Good Luck and I am interested in seeing how this one goes.
That is really high for a chair!! I think it is not a real goal to think that every student would sell one. If I were doing the budget on this one, I would say you would be lucky to sell a total of 10. Just my thought.
I have heard of a fundraiser called ecorondack.
An amish crafted maintenance free outdoor adirondack chair made from 100% recycled milk jugs/soda bottles. Their teaching / selling mantra
"when you recycle, great things are created" seemed unique and creative, of which we could reinforce to our kids.
Priced at 265.00 ea. of which 50.00 is kept as profit.
Seemed a little pricey, but includes direct shipping to the buyer, and in-line with a mattress sale.
325 students with a conservative goal of 1 ecorondack ea. = $ 16,250.00 PROFIT
a teaching fundraiser without calories or magazines that eventually end up in our landfills.
I have used Scentsy wickless candles in the past for fundraising. They are a huge hit. You can see their stuff by going to scentsy.com/kjorden Instead of a flame, they use a 25 watt bulb. It is similar to a tart warmer, but there are so many options, and their wax lasts a long time. They also offer lifetime warranties on their warmers
