My daughter is a sophmore and she has gone on several trips with marching band, choir and orchestra. At least two a year. So from a moms perspective: the fundraisers that worked best for her were the ones that were inexpensive for people. They have done car washes, bake sales after school, and catalogue sales where everything is $5.00 and candle sales. They sold sponsorships that people received tickets to their performances and/or names in their programs. And candles was a popular one. These brought her in the most money and easy to sell to families and classmates. God Bless the woman who had to keep track of the kids accounts. Best wishes!
Congratulations! Be sure to check out the PTO Marketplace on this website. There is a section dedicated to fundraising with lots of different categories. You should be able to get lots of ideas.
Keep us informed & let us know how you raise your $,... and how you do in the competition.
I am a co-captain on the dance team at my school and we just entered our first competition and got a high enough score to go to the National competition. Our problem is that we are in Massachusetts and the Nationals are in Florida. We have some money making ideas that will get us a little over a third of what we need. So my question is what are inexpensive things we could do or sponsor to get money? We will be teaching at least one clinic but that won't be enough. Please post any and all ideas!!!
