Our schools generally skip the prizes all together, opt for the extra x% in profit and then hold a school-wide party at the end of the fundraiser to celebrate everyone's sales.
"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it" - Ferris Bueller
Goodness, did they actually think parents would find those acceptable?!!
The fundraising company we used last year at elementary school didn't have prizes we thought would appeal to our kids so they just gave us an allottment and we purchased our own prizes.
Has anyone looked over the selling level prizes for Readers Digest? Our school did and was not pleased at all with the beer helmet and shot pourer. They are both offered as items that can be used for milk or juice but, really have the connotation of drinking alcohol. We are sending a note home with our fundraiser that we will be opting for other prizes!
