This is a great idea. I bet you will get a lot of good books that were ordered from Scholastic and only read once or twice. I would check to make sure you won't be competing with another local used book sale. Our Public library used to have them each year in January and July.

Our PTO is taking on a brand new fundraiser, we are going to be running a used book sale. We have asked for donations from our school population, and with each letter home we have sent 10 additional flyers asking for donations for the families to get out to friends, family and neighbors. The response so far has been great, we are getting alot of donations. The volunteer list is large (YEAH!). We will be advertising in local newspapers as well as on line book sale website. Plus putting flyers up at grocery stores. We will be sorting the books by genre. I think we have hit all of the points we need to hit, but I figured I would put the info out here to see is any of you brilliant PTO members had any thoughts or ideas we may have missed.
