U.S. toy company offer small toys that you can purchase inexpensively, and so do several other novelty companies, you can also get sometimes free coupons for food, such as McDonald's ice cream, Wendy's frosty or go to Hollywood video's website, you can put a request in for movie rental passes to be used. It takes approx. 60 days, but they are very good at responding to requests or check other video rental places as well.
Good Luck! Foxmom

Shopping at your local dollar store for small items is a great idea. Oriental trading has great items that are inexpensive.

Beanies, as in happy meal toys, or is there something different?

McDonald's will donate "Beanies" to your school/organization. Those are wonderful! Also, Scholastic Books usually have some "freebies" to donate for occasions like this. Hope it helps.

our principal at ocean beach bought promotional/novelty items as prizes for the students at our elementary school. which worked out great for everyone.

The company, i actually saw it on this website as a fundraiser, champion magnets.com i checked them out after my son brought home a magnet. It's pretty neat. Good luck!

Books, bookmarks, pencils, shaped erasers, small spirit wear items like braclets, sweatbands, etc. If you do book fairs you could give gift certificates to them. We're also working on gift cards to a local fun center and movie tickets. Then you can throw in "privelege" type things like first in line for lunch, front seat at a cool assembly, principal for a day, lunch with teacher/principal, special lunch with friends(let them take some friends and eat in the library or other special spot). Uh-oh those are kind of food related aren't they?

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.
