Hey--Crazy Mom--love the 6th graders quotes. We do an alumni night where our 6th graders come back to visit and talk about middle school with our rising 5th graders....they loved it last year. Parents did too since the parents got to chat with the parents....

Hi Fun Mom--you can view all of ours from last year (for some reason our September one didn't post and we go to print without october monday so you can check back. Just go to brentpto.com and look under the newsletter tag. We have a
President's column:
Upcoming events:
Recap of last year:
Did you know feature where we discuss school policies (like cafeteria conduct);
A let me introduce you to: portion where we print a bit about one of our teachers that some folks might now meet (like math specialist, speech therapist)
A Bobcat Sound Off where we tell all the great things about ourselves:
We even did a little prints insert last year that our children wrote...it was very cool.
So have a look and I'll be happy to answer anything

A newsletter is a great idea! We do not have one and would be interested in starting one. Do you print the newsletter at school and use their supplies or is it something you can do from home and then email it to school to be printed?

Also, I plan on getting quotes from the 6th graders and placing them in the last n ewsletter of the year. Kind of like a memorial to them as they graduate.

We put out a newsletter quarterly. I have taken pictures of retiring teachers and wrote something about them, I've also put the school's marque on the front page. It has theschool moto. We are going to do "Teacher Features" as well. I will have clues about a teacher and the readers get to guess who they think it is. We also put info on upcoming events, boxtops, yearbook, etc. I use a template and have gotten quite a few compliments.
