We enrolled in this program but the letters they send to give to parents make it look like a personalized letter from the principal. Our district does not allow principals to endorse products so I don't think we will do it. The money goes directly to the school not through PTA. Additionally people have to agree to a yr contract and call the special number for this to work. Most people getting new service won't want to pay installation and would rather do another deal where they get free stuff. I think the odds of getting any money are slim and in exchange directtv gets personalized ads in everyone's house via kids. Why can't it just be plain and simple like Target, grocery stores?
I saw that on this website and had our pricipal sign us up. She did and about a month later we received a box full of flyers to distribute thru school. I put them in our Curriculum Night folders last night. I am hoping that this would work, heck even if 5 people did it, that is %500 for the school. We did not do it as a fumdraiser, just a "by the way". I will let you know if we get any results from this.
