I like the layout and the general color scheme. And, while I'm no expert, it looks like the web designer tried to incorporate the basic ADA stuff. At least all the graphics on the front page have ALT tags.

The visual transition to School/Family Nights with the pink background is startling. Maybe it's intended as an attention getter.

Just for grins, I'll post archival links to some of the past looks of PTO Today. Note, these are snapshots in time, so naturally not all internal links are valid. I’ll try to pick ones where the Forum links work. (These pages will be slow to load.)

December 2000 – Some yellow in front page, burgundy accents. Forum was burgundy and white.

September 2001 – PTO is bathed in yellow!

August 2002 – PTO Today gets a facelift and a sleeker look

December 2004 - It's had pretty much the same format/style since 2002. But here's the most recent link in the archive.


I do agree with the others that the amount of unbroken white space in the forum is a bit unrelenting. After awhile, I feel like I'm going snowblind.

And I definitely agree with everyone as to what a valuable resource you provide. THANKS!

I have to agree with Michelle B about the white. Although, it is 2:30 a.m. here and I don't have any lights on, but the white is a little too bright.

I'm going to check out the rest of the site and let you know what I think.

It has a sleeker design but the white is a bit bright and hard on the eyes. I think the green above the banner might have been a better choice. The previous yellow wasn't a bright yellow. It just needs to be dulled a bit...

A ton of work went into this complete redesign. There are obvious changes in look-and-feel, but we've also rebuilt the back-end allowing us to do even more for you on the web.

And we're not done.... you'll be seeing little tweaks and big tweaks and more content and more tools throughout the next couple of months.

Would love to get your feedback on the changes, the good and the bad (we can take it!). And your ideas for where we should bring the site from here.
