I need a little help putting something in perspective. This past Tuesday night, our PTA meeting/program was cancelled due to the potential of inclement weather. Our principal, who is wonderful, was concerned that the snow might pick up or continue. She called to ask me what I thought about going ahead with the evening, and I would not have thought twice about holding the meeting, since the school system had not cancelled any classes or activities, but a handful of PTAs cancelled their programs for that night.
Currently, we are in the process of trying to rearrange what was going to be a great night, but I know we won't get the participation we might have. I am taking this way too personally, and I'm hoping someone can help me to let go of it. I know that in the grand scheme of things, it's not a big deal, but I really feel like I blew it, and let a lot of people down by not taking a stronger stance to go ahead and hold the meeting.
Anyway, sorry about the vent, but I needed to talk to someone outside of our school that could offer some words of advice!
