Our area Jaycees did this. I think they charged $25.00 and if the person flocked didn't want to pay the $25.00 to flock someone else or remove them then the person who ordered the flocking had to pay again. They even flocked the back of someone's pick up truck. They used insulation boards to stick the flamingos in. It was a great fundraiser for them.
rls , if your church does it, sounds like its acceptble practice in your area,,you could suggest the idea to your pto to adapt the idea to the school teachers/staff....as a type of PTO fundraiser..ie reward good teachers with flamingos (or candies on their lawn, since you say they stole the candies off your appreciation poster!) just some musings.
A local church in our area is doing this and it has been fun, wondering who is going to get "flocked" next. Every time, there is a picture in the newspaper with a number to call with suggestions of who you would like to have "flocked" next.
oh i get it, so its also a surrpetitious fun(d)raiser...you could add, those that get flocked ansyway,by the PTO leaders, when they HAVE bought insurance, a big fine would go to thePTO officers, say $100 per head. thats the only way to keep em honest, some of them , and make them play by the rules.
