Here's an idea that was a huge hit at my school...and I'm not sure if its on the list so I thought I would share. The last day before winter break (yesterday for us) our teacher appriciation committee served the teachers a continental breakfast before school started. Then they hit stocking all over the school filled with personalized goodies for the teachers (they had to find the stockings) Then they had parents volunteer come in and cover the teachers lunch and recess duty. Then later on while the holiday parties were going on we drew staff and teacher names out of a bag and gave away 20 prizes (which we got as displays for our brochure sale) We received so many compliments that it was the best thing they had ever received and they felt so appreciated. On top of that it made us feel great to make the teachers, who are so important to us as parents, feel good

I also sent you a few more gift ideas too, along with a note on putting together a PROCEDURE BINDER too, in the event one has not already been established for your chairmanship. Keep these gift ideas for your own personal use, since they can be used in many different ways, and print a copy for the procedure binder too - so that future chairmen in your capacity can refer to them as well.
Also, keep a log in the book as to what gift ideas you used, what you like and what you didn't like about a particular one - making the job just a bit easier for the chairmen too.
IN THE FUTURE, others may feel free to email me direct and get these ideas, since I don't log on here very often, and you'll get the gift ideas quicker that way!
