Our yearbooks are $30, sure they are a nice hard bound book but to me that's alot of money! At that price too, you have to buy a book! I'm hoping this year (like last) the school will order extra and I can pay $20 in the fall. Just hoping (and praying) in years to come each one of my 5 won't have to have their own book! $150! WOW!
Our yearbooks are done by the teacher that does the newspaper (student) and yearbook for the high school.
We actually give the children free yearbooks the day before school lets out for the year. We have a yearbook committee that takes pictures (she is very good)and we give the teachers each a disposable camera at the bigging of the year. They turn in their pictures about a month before school lets out. We then put them in yearbook form, collage or what ever by teacher or event. We pay to have them placed in a yearbook. It is a soft cover, maybe 5x7, and doesn't cost much. But the kids are happy. To me I think thats all that matters.
Anyone in our school who pays for a portrait package gets a yearbook included. For the kids who did not get their picture taken the school...not the PTO picks up the tab on their books
We have a K-2 school and a 3-5 school, but our parent group covers both. Each school has a seperate yearbook that parents order for $12 a piece. We give every fifth grader, however, a free book.
Our School does not give FREE yearbooks out. However, to bust our sales. We give one to Lower grade (K-3) and Upper grade (4-6) teachers for Top Classroom Sales only.
