"We fell ashamed our teachers are that dirty to through they power around like that."

besides concerns over principal issues you mentioned, I as a parent would be vERY concerned to have my children at a school with teachers with attitudes you describe. what ELSE are the kids learning besides the 3 Rs? they learn from watching their teachers treat the parents or misuse their position to get what they want, in a manner not even democratic or mature? big red flags all over. sounds like theres lots of leadership problemss going on there. maybe there is a reason the super doesnt want to step in where the principal wont.

maybe a whole lotta politics might be going on in the background and there is probably lots of politics parents arent even aware of, ie between teachers and principal.

but that is the school admins problems, the politics. YOUR nr 1 job is to make sure your kids get the best education possible and if their teachers act like that, iwould sure listen and watch closely at what theyre learning. sounds like a crummy envirnoment and juvenile, from what you describe.

good luck.

Yes, today my child was denied bathroom privileges ALL DAY... His homework has tripled and he is a special ed. child, who does not need the problems. Iam afraid if I stop they will still harass the innocent. They has got to be a way to put an end to a bad situation. We are not allowed to attend the teachers meeting, we have tried. We would like however to go in front of the board of education. Its thursday night wish us luck. As for my son the principal said I could write a complaint and he would look at it, that means the nearest trash can will get it....

The teachers in your school sound just awful and your principal has no spine. Are you the PTO president? If you are, I would attend the next teachers meeting and reem them all for such a childish and underhanded manuveur. These teachers should be totally embarrassed by their actions but apparently they aren't. Since they have done this before and gotten away with it, as you say, there is no pressing need for them to change. And as your principal does not support your PTO beyond lip service, you are sunk, pure and simple. Dissolve your PTO and let the teachers do their own fundraising without parents help.

And if you think that your child is bearing any ill effects from teacher repercussions, then get yourself a good child advocate lawyer and have a heart to heart with the superintendent and principal. I don't court confrontation and would much rather work as a team but sometimes there is no other way.

I have many questions, like how can teachers overide a PTO vote? If your by-laws don't protect you from this kind of action, then it's time to write and implement new by-laws. Ditto for 501(c)3 status...get it.
Best of luck and keep us posted.

On that note...I'm taking a lot of deep breaths right now. If that is how head strong and pushy the school is being, that it will now affect your child, (just my own opinion) I wouldn't even stay on. I'm not one to throw in the towel very easily and it's ultimately up to you but, if it were me and the situation was actually hurting one of my girls I would tell the school thank you for the experience and the chance to help, if you ever really need me for anything let me know but now you're on your own to go at each other's throats.

Sorry, I know I'm ranting more than helping you but those kinds of retaliations by schools, parents, anyone just really rub me the wrong way....
