Our PSA is just now having an audit completed although the new officers took over July 1. The Pres. claims to have given the info to others but no one was able to do it. At any rate it is my understanding that the Pres. gave the info to someone who completed the report and stated that she does not know much about accounting procedures an did the best she could. I know this person does not like the Treasurer and have heard she ("the auditor") has found a deposit missing. I have personally looked over the files and do not see this. I did not participate in the audit because the Pres. said this other persons findings would be good enough. Having a lifetime of experience with finances I am confident that I am right and she is wrong. If during our next meeting the members are presented with an audit that I feel is wrong, how do I go about contesting it? The Treas. and Pres. recently got into a fight and the Treas. quit. I do not think she did so because of guilt- I know her books are right. What do I say to contest? And what should the procedure be if the audit is contested? Thanks!
