Glad you are finding the site helpful and congrats on starting a new PTO! Just wanted to make sure that you saw the resources we have for folks just starting out:
I just want to thank you guys for posting so much information on the Bylaws. I am new to our PTO and for the last several years our PTO was primarily one person. Now there are some others who want to help but i think the Bylaws i have seen thus far will give a better direction to the PTO and give a real reason for being to the PTO. Again Just want to thank you guys for the information posted. It looks like ti will be a big help to us.

We are very proud of our Parent Organization. A parent volunteered to create the page, and it is linked from our school website. We are a private Catholic school. We have a sub-committee assigned to review the by-laws for this year, and make the necessary updates in the upcoming month.
If you're a PTO (as opposed to a nationally-affiliated PTA), there are no "officioal" bylaws for any state. You might have to handle your problem directly, without the aid of bylaws, if there your specific PTO has never adopted any.
