We offer 2 $500 scholarships of that kind. We use the proceeds of the Election Day Bake Sale, and the vote to supplement the shortfall from the General Fund later in the year.

We've had a scholarship program for many years. We just include the amount as a line item on our budget-no specific fundraiser for it.

Our PTO bugets a set amount every year to our scholarship fund. All fundraisers during the year indicate that a portion of money rasied will be contributed to the scholarship fund. The scholarships are available to graduating seniors that attended our elementary school. Applications are reviewed and decided by the committee and PTO board.

We were the first elementary school to offer this program. Now several elementary schools have scholarship programs!
