Shawn, I wish it could be that easy, I would love to have you as a Treasurer!
mommytlc, We have been there done that and it was not as great as you'd think. Our bylaws state that it cannot be a full time employee of the school district.
I have found replacements, we are having a Special PTO meeting on the 1st to accept the resignations, vote in the new officers and go over the new business that was questionable by our bylaws. There is nothing in our bylaws about posting Special meetings. I do not want to have any unforeseen issues come up, so should I keep this Special meeting kinda hush hush or open it to everyone?
I have purchased the RRoO newly revised in brief, and man oh man that is a lot of reading. Made simple and easy, huh, if they say so! lol I will have it handy at the remaining meetings. I do have some concerns though. One of the resigning officers checked out the old RRoO book from the HS Library. I just need some words of advice on how I should handle any situations that may occur in the future. She resigned her duties, so now I question her motives. I do not want another episode like last month! I also want to be the chair of the meeting without having to stake my ground with anyone!!
I have updated the Treasurers Report/Budget. I have copies of everything from the last meeting, (including ballot votes), the current member list, a current copy of the bylaws, along with the Jan Agenda. With the VP's help I will make up my agenda for this special meeting. Is there anything that I am missing?
I'll do it - do you allow telecommuting and video conferencing for meetings??

If you can't find a new treasurer, see if a teacher might want to take over. Our 4th grade math teacher has been the PTO Treasurer for years. She absolutely loves it!
I have asked around 10 people to fill in as T, but no takers. We are having a special meeting soon, in preparation for the Feb meeting. I did get some one to fill the S, so I am making progress! Thanks for the encouraging words.
