Question: After School Program Funded By PTA

Is the PTA required to announce bids for the after school program by it? The program and how it is run is very opaque and nobody knows how contract is given to the same vendor every year.

You can check your group's bylaws to see if there's information concerning vendors. If there is no information there, you can check with your state PTA to see if it can provide guidelines/best practices for working with vendors.
