Question: School District Oversight

Can a district school board require that all fundraising activities of the school foundation be submitted for approval by the district? We are in California.

Anything involving their students would certainly require approval. Some districts also like to monitor the fundraising activities that are aimed at their community. They may want to make sure that the local community isn't being bombarded with multiple fundraisers- or that different school organizations aren't competing with each other with the same fundraisers.
